Board Governance
Garth Wallbridge has extensive experience both working with boards and teaching effective board governance across Canada. In 2013 he graduated from the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Director’s Education Program, leading to the designation ICD.D. The Institute of Corporate Directors is the only globally recognized director organization in Canada, with over 7500 members across the country. He has also taken the Canadian Board Diversity Council’s Board Direction Training, “Get On Board”. His credits include work with the Tlicho Investment Corporation, .. and he has also served on the boards for the Northern Aboriginal Business Association (2011 – present), been Chair for the NWT Aboriginal Law section of the Canadian Bar Association (2010 – 2012), President of Habitat for Humanity Yellowknife (2005 – 2009), and National Chair of the Aboriginal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (2002 – 2003).
